#JornetFest 2024 promotes technological training for people with disabilities in Girona
July 20, 2024
Helena Jornet Finques has organized the third edition of the #JornetFest
Last Thursday, July 18, the third edition of the #JornetFest, which has already been consolidated as a magical and supportive summer night, took place to celebrate life with the customers, collaborators and friends of Helena Jornet Finques. More than 150 people enjoyed the #JornetFest 2024, which, for the first time, was held in another idyllic setting: the Village of the Espai Port of the Porta Ferrada Festival in Sant Feliu de Guíxols.
And this year, it was organized together with the Eurofirms Foundation, which will allocate all the benefits of the event to the Eurofirms Foundation Tech Academy, a technological bootcamp to train people with disabilities in the province of Girona.
Thanks to the generosity of the assistants and the collaborating companies, the #JornetFest 2024 has raised a total of € 32,500. All funds raised will go to scholarships for technological training in development and cybersecurity, scholarships that will cover 100% of distance training and will provide opportunities for those with disabilities in the province of Girona who are less likely to access technical and qualified profiles.
Live music has reached #JornetFest
Another novelty of this third edition has been the arrival of live music with three memorable performances. The Celloist from Sant Feliu de Guíxols, Queralt Rodríguez Gascons, inaugurated the live performances with his cello and a classic repertoire that marveled at the attendees. From Calonge, the indie music of Ariadna Fort, on the voice and electric guitar, accompanied by Unax Basart, on the drums, enlivened the dinner. And the powerful and lyrical voice of the singer originating from the French Antilles, Sabine Van Waesberghe, accompanied by the saxophonist Jorge Cuscueta, culminated in a night with a jazz and French song repertoire.
The live music was added to the already traditional kitchen of the Chef Marc Regincós, which had high quality products by Batallé, Costa Brava Mediterranean Food, La Ganxoneta, Pastisseria Gironès and Pastisseria La Vianesa. As well as the expected super ruffle that, thanks to the generosity of the collaborating establishments, has consisted of 5 nights of hotels, 7 meals at restaurant, 2 jewels, 2 fine art pices, 2 sunglasses, a barbecue, a vacuum cleaner and a lot of experiences and accessories.
Special thanks to Liquats, Batallé, Estal, El·lit Homes and Patel, for their generous contributions, to The Project, BTM, Kave Home and Montse Pibernat to make it possible for the #Jornetfest to be held in the most idyllic and cozy space possible, and to the entire team of Helena Jornet Finques and Eurofirms Foundation for all their involvement and effort.
